ABOUT ME
I have an M. Ed. in Environmental Education through Western Washington University with nonprofit management and Pacific Northwest Naturalist certifications. As part of the program I completed a year long residency at the North Cascades Institute. Through this residency, I gained educational and operational experience in a leading environmental education institute.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I teach students of all ages about the mysteries and beuties of the outdoors. In particuler, I appreciate the value of place in education, looking for place-based approaches that connect people to their place and help them see the connections that exist in their local environments.
WHAT I DO
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, learning early to love and appreciate the natural world around me. I am passionate about the environment and kids, and am constantly looking for ways to combine these loves. My goal in life if to find a way to get more kids outside, and to help them see the beauty and value in the natural world.
